Make up look: MUA Undress me Too

Hello lovelies,

I had a bit of time free this morning so thought I would share today's make up look with you. All products I have reviewed will be highlighted, please click on them and it will take you to the review :)

Face: first I used my No7 Stay Perfect Blemish Cover in shade fair, I just applied a little to any areas that had a little redness. Next I used my Rimmel Match Perfection foundation in soft beige. I applied this using my realTechniques miracle complexion sponge to my eye area and the apples of my cheeks. Lastly I used the sponge again to apply my YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat foundation to the rest of my face.

The powder foundation I used was Estee Lauder's Double Wear in shade pure beige which I applied with my realTechniques powder brush. For my bronzer I used Soap and Glory's Solar Powder which I applied with my realTechniques duo-fiber contour brush.

Eyes: For this look I used MUAs Undress Me Too palette. I used shade Naked all over my eye, then shade Shy on my inner lid and Reveal on my middle and outer lid. I used Tranquil on my crease which I blended out, and Wink in the same place to add a bit of depth. The eyeliner I used was L'Oreal's Super Liner in Black Lacquer. The mascara I used was Elizabeth Arden's Beautiful Color mascara in black.

Lips: For my lips I just used my Rimmel Lasting Finish lipstick in coffee shimmer, which I dabbed with tissue so it was not too dark.

Hope you like this look lovelies, I love the MUA range they are such good quality products at such great prices! Comment bellow if you have done a recent make up look, or if you would like a review on any of the other products featured in this post.

Current Loves

Hello lovelies,

It's about time for another favourites post.. and I could not do this post without mentioning my favourite thing...Lipstick!

I have two I am loving at the moment. A/W is such a great time to experiment with those darker shades we are perhaps not daring enough to wear any other time of year, so here you can see my Rimmel Lasting Finish lipstick in Coffee Shimmer has started to make an appearance. This is such a luch colour and the lipstick is super pigmented and full of moisture perfect for this time of year.

The second lipstick I am loving is my No7 Moisture Drench in shade Mulberry. I just think this is a really lovely everyday shade for this season.

My absolute faveourite thing at the moment has to be the Valentina perfume from Valentino. This smells divine, you ladies have to go and try this scent it is so beautiful. Normally I would go for a musk at this time of year but this floral smell is just lovely.

As with the lipsticks, this time of year just makes bold make up look amazing. Big lashes are a must have for me and these Eylure Naturalites in style 101 are my go to lashes at the moment. These lashes are just perfect for every day as they are not too dramatic but still boast lots of thickness and volume.

One thing I don't really talk about a lot is body wash but I love the Radox shower gels. They have such a vast range of scents, most of which I like, but this one in particular is really feminine and lovely.

So while I am loving dramatic makeup, I also love a touch of subtlety, and this Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color brow shaper and eyeliner is perfect for softening u any eye look. Applying this instead of a harsh black eyeliner looks great and allows you to bled it perfectly in to a smoky eye.

My Olay Essentials eye make up remover really is essential at the moment. I am loving experimenting with different eye shadows right now and this is my go to remover. (For a review of this product click here)

What do you think of these products ladies? Comment bellow and let me know what you are loving right now, I love trying new products!

No7 Radiance Restorer

Hello ladies,

Those of you that read my recent haul will know I recently picked up this lovely No7 Radiance Restorer at Boots. So as promised in my haul, I have been using these products since I got them and here is my review of these.

The set costs £14 and as it is in the Christmas gifts range it is also on the 3for2 promotion.

30ml Cleansing lotion
If you read my first ever blog post you will see I already have a skin routine that is perfect for keeping blemishes away, so I have already found my go to cleanser. However, I love trying out new products, and while I don't think this will replace the one I use, it is a really nice product. There is not much I can say about this product, it does what it is supposed to and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth, I just prefer my Body Shop foam cleanser.

15ml Radiance Exfoliator
In honesty I have only used this product a handful of times. As my skin has been really dry recently I did not really want to use too much of the exfoliator. However, I love this product! it is really gentle on your skin and leaves it feeling really soft and refreshed. While I would not say this is an every day product, I would definitely use this once or twice a week. The exfoliating particles are a little rough but the creamy consistency leaves skin feeling nourished as well as exfoliated. I think this is the perfect product for any of you lovelies that have oily skin, it would really help to mattify your skin without drying it out.

15ml Overnight Revitalising Eye Balm
I have used this product nearly every night, I started out using it under my eyes to see if it would take away any puffiness, as it claims to do but honestly I did not see a difference. As the skin around my eyes has become very dry I stopped using this product there but continued to use it on my forehead and cheeks. The balm seamed to work really well here my cheeks do seam to have a more even skin tone and it seams to work like an over night tonner my skin just seams to look more youthful. While I will not be using this for my eyes, I have seen noticeable results from using the balm so will be buying this again.

25ml Energising Mask
I am not a big fan of masks and peels but I wanted to review all of the products for you so I have used this twice and I am really happy with the results. This does make your skin look noticeably smoother and more mattified, and it creates the perfect base for foundation. I am still not a fan of all the faffing, I don't overly like the look of peeling what look like a layer of skin away. But credit where it is due, it is easy to apply, is not too sticky, dry's quickly and is easy and quick to remove. The mask would work well on all skin types, so if you are a fan of masks but don't like the faffing that comes with them, this is a really good product for you. It only takes about 15mins to have beautiful skin.

25ml Day cream and 25ml Night Cream for normal/dry skin
So these are two products I used prior to buying the set. I suffer with very sensitive skin, particularly around my eyes, so cream is something that is really important to me. These creams have helped me so much. They are super soft and have never caused my skin irritation. Unlike most creams suitable for sensitive skin these have a lovely fragrance to them. I recommend these creams to anyone, they moisturise your skin perfectly without causing breakouts.

I hope this has been useful ladies. I highly recommend their skincare to you lovelies, the shop assistants are always really helpful in finding the best products for your skin type. And if like me you love trying a few bits and bobs; their Christmas gift selections are a really good way of discovering products perfect for you without spending too much.

Review: Vaseline Spray and Go

Hello Ladies,
Todays review is of Vaseline's Spray and Go Body Moisturiser. It costs £4.99 at Boots for the 190ml can, more expensive than the normal bottle but, like me, you can probably find this on a 3for2 promotion which Boots tend to do a lot on skincare.
Good: This is so simple to use! I'm not sure if you ladies are like me, sometimes I find my self in such a rush I just do not bother to moisturise, with this spray it literally take 1minuite to keep your skin moisturised and healthy. I only purchased the cocoa radiant one as from using the creams this is my preference, however, there is also a Aloe Fresh and a available to buy. The cream is really light, perfect for when you are in a rush, but still just as nourishing as the regular Vaseline creams.

I'm not sure if you can tell from the picture as my skin is so pale, but the spray can do a really fine mist of product on your skin if you hold the can around 30cm away. Or a drop of product if you hold it closer to your skin. Personally I always hold it at a distance, the light mist of cream is what makes it so much faster to apply as there is an even amount of product all over where you want to moisturise.

Bad: I have not found anything bad so far, I knew I loved these creams before I purchased this packaging. Perhaps the price is a little expensive compared to other good creams available, but it is so handy and good quality its a fair price in my opinion.
Overall I really like this product and definitely would recommend it for other busy or lazy ladies. The cocoa radiant one in particular smells amazing, if you have not tried it before please have a sniff in store, its lush! As always, follow and share if you are enjoying my blog :)

Review: Whipped Creme Foundation

Hello lovelies,
Before I begin todays blog I just want to apologise, I have not been blogging as much recently. I have just started my masters in legal practice, so as you can imagine the work load is fairly high. Please bare with me, I will blog at least once a week, and any additional posts I can fit in I will do so :)
Back to todays post which is a review of Max Factor's Whipped Crème foundation. This product costs £7.99 at Boots for a 18ml pot, which is reasonably priced I would say in accordance to quality.

I got this product because, like many girls, I went through a stage of using Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse Foundation when I was a teen, and fell in love with its coverage, but hated how dry it left my skin. When I saw this product I just had to try it out and see if was any better.
Good: The good news is the coverage is almost as good as the Dream Matte mousse. I would say it provides slightly less coverage, however, this is what makes it look a million times more natural, which is after all what we want from a foundation.

Due to it being a crème rather than a liquid it provides a really nice matte finish so if you are not a fan of applying powder foundation in addition to your liquid then this may be a good choice for you.

The only other good thing I can say about this is that it has pretty good staying power. It lasts all day even if like me you touch your face a lot.
Bad: This foundation has really dried out my skin! I would not say it has done so as bad as the Dream Matte Mousse did, however I strongly suggest you lovelies do not use this product every day.
I am still using this product as I do not like to waste money, however, I have only been applying it to my cheeks where my skin is a little oiler.

Overall I am not very happy with this product, it is not 100% coverage or matte, nor does it do any favours to your skin. If you are looking for a perfect foundation I erge you to try No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation (£12.95 at Boots). This provides a lovely matte finish and gives great coverage. I have used this product for over a year and it has never given me dry skin or blemishes, so definitely worth a purchase, moreover the Whipped Crème foundation.
Hope this has been useful lovelies. I don't like to be negative about products but I do think it is important to be honest. Don't forget to hit follow if you're enjoying my blog.

Makeup Look: Shimmering Days

Hello Lovelies,
So I have just put up a review of some eylure Pre-Glued lashes and already I have had a request for info on the make up I used, so here you go ladies...
Eyes: As you know I used the eylure 070 pre-glued lashes, I also used L'Oreal's Superliner to create a perfect slim line of liner. I also used Elizabeth Arden's Beautiful Color mascara. (click for a review of this product)
The palette I used was my Ted Baker Shimmering Days Glittering Nights palette. For this look I mostly used the day palette, I used the matte shade all over my eye then used the golden shimmer all over my lid. I went in to my crease and blended in to the outer half of my lid with the beautiful pink shimmer shade. To add depth I then added a little of the sparkly black from the night palette to my crease and blended.
Lips: First I applied my MUA lipstick in shade bare. I went over this with the cute little pink lip gloss that came in the day palette. I find gloss lasts longer when applied over a creamy lipstick.
Face: For foundation I used No7 Beautifully Matte in shade warm ivory as my base. I then added depth with MaxFactor's Whipped Crème in shade warm almond. I applied this to the apples of my cheeks as this is where I am naturally slightly more tanned.
For my contour I used the bronzer from the day palette and then went in with a light application of the blush.
So that's this look ladies, hope you like it. I am really happy with this palette, it is really good quality and I think I will be using it a lot. I think the two blushers in the night palette are far to bright for my complexion, but if you have a darker skin tone then these could look lovely.
Comment bellow if you would like more make up look posts, and don't forget to hit follow for more of my ramblings :)

Review: Pre-Glued Lashes

Hello ladies,

As you may know from reading my recent Boots haul, I decided to try out some pre-glued lashes. Lots of ladies have said to me that they struggle applying falsies, and while I don't find it difficult, I thought it may be worth trying out some pre-glued and seeing if they are any easier.

The lashes I chose were by eylure, style 070 and cost £5.29. I love their false lashes, I think they are a really good natural size and fit, and they have a really vast range to choose from.
Ok so I have to be honest with you ladies, I prefer non pre-glued. Having said that If you do struggle to apply lashes these will help you to get a feel for where you want to position them, how to get them close to lash line etc.
I just found these a little fiddly, the glue wants to instantly stick to your lid, where as with normal falsies there is more give with the glue before it sets to allow you to position it perfectly.
As you can see they still are not positioned perfectly, I ended up taking them off and using glue to make them look perfect.

I am a little disappointed with this product as I think it lures you in thinking they will be easier to apply when in fact they are harder.

The best advise I can give you lovelies is to play around with the lash prior to applying the adhesive. Work out where you want them, and then go in with the glue. Use a pair of tweezers to place them as close to your lash line as possible and then I use my realTechniques accent brush to pat the lash on securing it in the desired position. This prevents the glue from getting stuck to your fingers.

Always remember to let the glue get a little tacky on the lashes before placing them on to your lid, and never apply to much glue. Although glue dries colourless you can see bumps of adhesive sometimes which makes the makeup look a little messy.

My final tip is to cut the lashes to size if you feel they are a little long. Lashes are one size fits all, but some of us do have smaller eyes, cutting off any overhang will assist in getting the perfect fit. Always remember lashes are made with shorter lashes on the inner side to allow them to look more natural, so only cut the outer longer side of the lashes.

Hope this has been useful lovelies, for info on my eye make up in the pictures click here.

Boots Haul

Hello lovelies,

It's that expensive time of year when Boots stocks up on its xmas gifts and we all spend far too much money, me being no exception :D

The first few things I got were not in the Christmas range but I have wanted to try for a while. The Whipped Creme foundation by Maxfactor I got for £7.99, this looks like an improved version of Maybeline dream matte mouse so thought I would give it a go and review it for you ladies.

I also wanted to review the Eylure  pre-glued lashes, I have had so many ladies inform me that they struggle to apply lashes, so I want to see if these are in fact any easier.

I also really wanted this Valentina perfume, I got a sample of this in my recent Perfume Shop haul and fell in love. As my Lancôme Belle de Vie perfume ran out today I thought I would replace it with this.
The first gift I got was this little Nando's set, I got a few of their products last year for my boyfriend so thought I would get this for him to keep him going till December.

I also found this No7 Radiance Restorer set. It contains a 30ml Cleansing lotion, a 25ml Energising Mask, a 15ml Overnight Revitalising Eye Balm, a 15ml Radiance Exfoliator, a 25ml Day cream for normal/ dry skin and a 25ml Night cream for normal/ dry skin, all from the Beautiful Skin range. The day and night creams I already use, but I will review these products for you lovelies shortly once I have tested them out.
The last thing I found was this Shimmering Days/ Glittering Nights palette by Ted Baker. I don't think I will be using the night section that much, but the shimmering days palate if really lovely. You ladies know by now I love simple neutral make up shades :)

So that's all of my purchases from today. I love Boots this time of year, 3 for 2 is always nice, but just getting sets with sample size products is a great way of discovering great new products without spending too much finding them. Hit follow for reviews on these products coming soon.
