Benefit: The Pore fessional

All Benefit products have to be blogged about, their advertising team do such a good job of making us feel lost without the entirety of a benefit counter inside our make up bags that I just had to give this a whirl.

For reference, I personally have combination skin, my tee zone is oily and the area around my eyes is really dry. One thing I don't have is really big pores and I wasn't sure if this would do much for me, so my sister has tried this one along with me. She also has combination skin but has large pores on and around her nose.

I really wanted to like this product, it came along with the mandatory Benefit hype but to be honest it just does nothing good for me. This glides on beautifully, but it doesn't do anything I want from a primer. It actually made my foundation slip off and look greasy more quickly. I have tried a few silicone based primers now and if longevity is what you are after I don't recommend them. I didn't want to give a fully negative review though when clearly so many people love this so thankfully my sister has fallen for this and is now using this on a daily basis.
She applies this just around her nose area and does not wear any other base product when wearing it. She found that this minimised the appearance of her pores so well that her skin looked even enough without needing to wear foundation.

Both of us have noticed this makes our skin a little more dry so perhaps only use this on the areas you have pores, but she is really happy with this product overall. It is very rare that a product has us so divided, but it just goes to show that most products will have some use to someone. It is always worth making a note of ingredients that work well or badly with your skin. I know I will not be using a silicone primer again.

If you do want to give this a try, it retails at £24.50 for 22ml which I would say is very costly, but if you are looking for something to combat the appearance of your pores, it comes with my sisters high recommendations. Buy Here

Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks

Time for another favourites post, this one is about my favourite everyday blusher. The Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks can be bought from Boots and costs just £1.99. The brand have some great quality products, however I personally only purchase blushers, face powders, polishes and eye shadows by them, I find some of their other products are not as high in quality.

The shade I use is pink cloud, there are five other shades available of which I have tried a couple but this really is the perfect shade for pale or lightly tanned skin tones. It is a really girly colour and can be made to look like a really natural blush when applied lightly.

I have been using this blusher for years now, I find it is great at providing subtle blushed cheeks for summer natural looks and is easily build-able for a more dramatic pink shade if preferred. Bellow I have applied some with my finger and a lot with the brush, you can see this can be a really intense pink the more product you apply.
The product is rather powdery in consistency, I personally think this is great, I think blusher should be applied as a light dust and then worked on, there is nothing worse that applying perfect foundation and then applying too much blush.

I like to apply this with the Real Techniques Blush Brush, it is nice and fluffy so great at applying just the right amount. There is not much more to say about the product itself, it is great quality and really affordable. Buy here

Review: The Body Shop Vitamin E range

Hello lovelies,
For those of you that don't know I have combination skin but my dry skin can be really painful and tight sometimes, particularly in the cold weather. I have used many different oils and creams over the past few years and have recently looked into using vitamin E products.
Benefits: Vitamin E is great for our health but not many people know just how good it is at looking after our skin. It has anti-aging benefits as it helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Lotions containing vitamin E also hold some benefits in preventing and treating sunburn, by protecting the epidermis layer of your skin from ultra violet light damage. Creams containing the vitamin have also been promoted for the treatment of scaring from surgery, acne and stretch marks. It also helps maintain the skins oil balance. Vitamin E can be taken orally and holds many health benefits, however if you are looking to improve your skin, using lotions etc. are a better for allowing the vitamin to be absorbed by the skin and allowing you to apply it where you feel you need its benefits.
Moisturising Cream: This costs £10 for 50ml;  buy here. I was a little disappointed initially as this cream does not have a nice smell, it does not smell bad but I am so used to Body Shop products smelling lush that it is noticeable. Fortunately the cream itself is amazing, it is moderately thick and soaks in to the skin in an instant. It makes your skin feel really nourished and smooth and I have noticed that my skin has been much healthier since using this.
Cream Cleanser: This costs £8 for 200ml, and is also available in 60ml bottles for £2.50; buy here. This smells and feels like baby lotion, again it is relatively thick for a cleanser but it soaks up instantly. I love this cleanser, my skin is left looking clean, fresh and healthy. I have used other cream cleansers of similar quality but I think the combination of this product with the toner does give you beautiful skin.
Hydrating toner: This also costs £8 for a 200ml  buy here but can not be bought in a 60ml bottle which is a little annoying if you wanted to use these while traveling. This is unlike any other toner I have used, it also smells like baby lotion and instead of drying out your skin it too makes it feel nourished. After using this I don't feel the need to use a primer on my skin it just leaves it feeling lovely and smooth. This is defiantly worth a try, I will be repurchasing this.
I am really happy with the three products I chose, I have noticed a vast improvement in my skin compared to last winter. My skin is much less oily around my tee zone and I have not had trouble with the dry areas of my face and my hands since using the cream.
The Body Shop has a massive Vitamin E range these are just three products I knew I would use every day so I wanted to try these first, I will certainly be buying some more products from the range. Let me know if you use any of these products if you think I should try them or if you want me to review something.

Travel make up

Hello lovelies,
I think most of us ladies have to do some traveling at this time of year even if it is just for one night so I thought it was the perfect time to show you my travel makeup. I travel home every weekend for work so I am a bit of a pro :P of course you can switch these products up for your favourites.
As always, all products I have reviewed will be linked so you can see why I love them :)
Powder Foundation: Estee Lauder Double Wear stay-in-place powder make up
Contour: Benefit Hoola bronzing powder
Lipstick: MAC shades Hue and Honey Love
Mascara: MAC Studio Fix Boldblack Lash
Eye Shadow: bareMinerals The Epiphany palette containing A-Ha and Foreshadow (or/and Urban decay Naked palette depending leftover room)
Eye Brows: YSL eyebrow pencil
Primer: bareMinerals Prime Time foundation primer + Urban Decay Primer Potion
Brushes: realTechniques blush brush for my powder foundation, my duo-fiber contour brush for my blusher, and duo-fiber face brush for my bronzer (duo-fiber review). I am only taking realTechniques base shadow and pixel-point eyeliner brush for my eyes. The rest of my make up I can apply with my fingers, but if I have room I may pack my Cosmo blend perfection sponge.
Other: Elizabeth Arden's All Gone Aye and Lip Make up Remover and visible Difference moisturising eye cream, I am taking these because they are the smallest ones I have.
Throughout the rest of the year I do carry around less expensive products just in case of damage, however, this season is prone to the odd group shot or selfie so I like to keep my best products close at all times.
Hope you enjoyed this post ladies, follow, share and comment bellow, let me know what type of posts you love reading I love getting requests.

Preventing Clothing Frays

Hello lovelies,
Not so much a beauty post today, but I thought this would be really useful for some of you ladies. Most of us beauty addicts tend to love clothes too so I hope this post is helpful to everyone.

I wear a lot of sheer fabrics, thin polyester for example. I have found that with a lot off my shirts the material sometimes tries to fray around the bust buttons and around the arm stitching. I do wear oversized but I am slightly top heavy and just from lifting my arms, playing with my nephew, general life etc. they do tend to fray. Even on expensive tops which is even more annoying! The material does not have any give in it at all so I started thinking of how to prevent this without having to wear 3 sizes to big instead of 2.
Hemming tape has been my saviour, I buy mine in wilkinsons its about £2 for 4.5m, you can buy this everywhere I think I saw it in Tesco as well so you don't have to go out of your way to buy this.

All I do is Iron a stip on to each side of my shirts overlapping the shirt and button panel (the shiny side needs to be face down on the shirt). This completely prevents fraying fabric. I have been doing this for about a year, it stays fine even once you have washed it a few times. It is just a really simple and cheap way to make your shirts last longer.

You can buy this in black and white, I have not seen it in another colour but ask your local sewing shop if you are in need of more shades. It comes with a little list of how long to iron this on. To be honest I ignore it completely and iron over a couple of times on a low temperature. You can not see this at all from the outside. One thing I would say though is if you ever plan on wearing one or two buttons open on a shirt do not iron it on this section, as not only will you see it but it will make the fabric stiffer and it would look a little odd.

Hope this has helped lovelies. Comment bellow if you like little tips and tricks I use to clean or keep things nice etc. I will try and do a few more in the future.

Review: Benefit They're Real mascara

Hello lovelies,
I have heard so many positive reviews of this  mascara, ladies with all kinds of lashes saying they love what it does, so seeing as I am a mascara junkie I had to test the hype...
Price: £19.50 for standard size (there are various promotional offers available as this product is so popular so ask in store before you buy for the best deal)
Good: This fans out your lashes and elongates them perfectly. One coat makes them look really long. From close up your lashes look stunning with this mascara. With really simple elegant makeup this can look really effective. I personally wear this with just a light dusting of darkhorse from the Urban Decay Naked palette on my lash line. This creates a shadow effect from your lashes making them look fuller.

Bad: So while this does look nice on my lashes, it does fan them out beautifully and elongates them I do feel that they look rather thin. I personally would rather have really volumulous lashes than really long lashes so for me this is by no means my favourite mascara. However, if you have shorter lashes with tons of volume then this is the perfect mascara for you.
If you already have long lashes and they are not that thick then from a far you will not be able to see your lashes with this product, I think it almost fans them out too much loosing the impact that great lashes should make.
Verdict: I would give this product 7/10 I think it is great in most aspects but I do think that volume is important so it is not quite up there with my favourite Maxfactor False Lash Effect mascara which is just £10.99.

Honestly ladies this mascara is not worth the price tag or the hype. I would recommend Maxfactor's mascara to all girls, they are reasonably priced and have one suitable for any lash type.
Hope you find this useful ladies, please bare in mind most blogs I have read have loved this mascara, I just personally really love mascara when it ups the volume and this just does not do it for me.

new lipsticks

Hello lovelies,

You all know by now I love lipstick! Not only can it complete a look but it can totally change it depending on the colour. Here are my 3new shades and a new gloss I have also fallen for.

They are all linked so that you can purchase them right away if you like them too.

This is one of MACs matte lipstick so not for everyone. If you want to wear this texture of lipstick you need to have healthy, smooth and moisturised lips. Be aware that these lipsticks dry your lips, so if you have chapped lips then you really should not wear them. However if you do have healthy lips then this can look amazing and super mattified, more so than any other brand. I personally love this lipstick and adore this super neutral shade.
This I thought was really cute, most neutral shades are beige but this little pink is really sweet. It keeps your lips moisturised and looks great with a subtle blush and simple eye make up. MAC lipsticks are £15, they are high quality and boast a massive range of colours and textures.
Get Ready
This lipstick is really good quality, it has a thick creamy texture and has great long lasting pigmentation. This shade is perfect to vamp up natural day makeup into an evening look.
The lipgloss is also amazing quality. It too has a thick creamy texture that I am yet to find from a drugstore gloss. The colour is beautiful and has high pigmentation; this is not a gloss to be worn over lipstick it is beautiful alone. Unlike most glosses this does not run at all, so you can get away with not wearing a lip liner if you do not want to. it smelly like mint and feels cold on your lips as you wear it which is supposed to make them fuller.

I have never used a bareMinerals lipstick before but I recently got their All The Faves gift set including both the MOXI lipstick and gloss. The set costs £36 and these two products cost £16 each so the set is really good value for money.
Hope you like my new additions, I am seriously obsessed with lipstick so please comment bellow with your favourites I would love to try them. Don't forget to hit follow :)

Review: YSL Eyebrow Pencil

So it may have taken me a long time and numerous mistakes but I have finally found the perfect product for filling in my brows.

The YSL pencil may not be as thin as the Anastasia Brow Wiz but as my brows are relatively thick it was more important for me to find the right shade than find something I can mimic hairs with. And if you keep this super sharp you can achieve the same precision as the brow wiz.

Anyone else find most brown brow products to be a little too auburn in some lights? If you do then you may want to try this in shade 4 Ash, it is completely cool toned so your brows look super natural.

I always run through my brows with the spooley before applying a little colour, but because it is a little creamy to begin with if you comb them through again the product will look super natural. And the pencil sets perfectly in place so there will be no awkward brow smudging.

It costs £20 and can be purchased from FeelUnique , it is costly but unless the drugstore manage to come up with a shade like this, I can't see my collection ever being without it.

MAC face and body foundation review

Hello lovelies,

At £21.50 for 50ml MACs face and body foundation is a little costly so I thought a little review may come in handy.

I use two shades mixed together to make it look a little more natural. With my olive toned skin I feel a mix of a N and a C matches better. The shades I picked out were N2 and C3. The C3 looks a lot darker unblended but as you can see below they are very similar shades. the C3 just has a more olive undertone that matches my mixed Spanish skin tone, whereas the N2 just warms it back up and makes your skin look fresher.

Coverage: This is not full coverage. If that is what you are looking for I suggest MAC's studio fix, or No7 Beautifully Matte foundation for a cheaper version. This simply perfects your natural skin. If you have nice clear skin and just want to look a little more polished then this is perfect.
Texture: This is a really watery foundation. It is super runny so be careful when you first open it! This really helps  to blend it in and as it is not creamy it stops it rubbing off and keeps it looking matte. It also means once it has dried it will not budge. It is the only foundation I trust to wear on my body knowing it will not rub off on to my clothes. I love to apply this to my heals when wearing sandals as it covers the redness from wearing rubbing shoes.

As this is for face and body it is the perfect tool for blending into your neck and making your makeup look like your natural skin. I see so many young girls not blending properly. If you have used a full coverage foundation, powder on your neck is not going to cut it. This product really is amazing at looking natural.

Due to my oily T zone I have not really got in to the BB/CC hype like a lot of others have, so if you too suffer from the shine then this is perfect if all you want is the subtle coverage that these products provide. Note though that there is buildable coverage to a low medium, just allow one coat to dry then apply another if you do want to cover a little more.
I hope this has been useful ladies, I do love full coverage but the blending factor and the texture of this product just make it great.     buy here

Current Daily Routine

Hello ladies,

One of the most common questions I get asked is my daily routine, My skincare routine was one of the first posts I wrote. It has not really changed much since then; I am fairly loyal to products when I know they work. However I have started using some Vitamin E products from The body Shop also (review).

Here is a list of my go to products I have been using nearly everyday for at least the past month. I tend to keep products on rotation so I use them up but these are some I love at the moment. Reviewed products are all linked. Elegant Touch House of Holland Nails

Hello lovelies,
This post has been sitting in my drafts for so long, not really sure why I have not got round to posting it but here we go...
I am one of those girls that always falls into the retailers trap and buys random products they place near the till. A lot of the time I end up regretting wasting my money, but not this time.

The House Of Holland Nailed by Elegant Touch false nails are my go to false nails at the moment. Over the past few years I have applied so many different falsies including applying my own gel and acrylic nails. These are so effortlessly stylish they just have to be my favourites.    Price: £7.99-£8.99  Sold at: Boots

It is not always easy to personalize and express yourself when your budget only allows for affordable fashion. Products like these just dial up the personality of any outfit, and you don't even have to be that creative. I personally love experimenting with different nail art but if you don't have time or you just are not that steady with your non writing hand then these nails are great.

As you can see there are lots of designs to choose from and as you get 24 nails you can mix up the way you wear them each time. You also get a fairly decent nail file and really good nail glue in the pack.

There are so many nail products on the market at the moment, I love all of the nail wraps and different textured nail polishes that have been popping up over the past couple of years, but these really are my favourites if you are looking for something easy to apply that will funk up your outfit.

Don't forget to hit the follow button lovelies, and comment bellow if you would like more posts on nail products.

Lancome Beauty Set: first impressions

Hello ladies,

Last week I did all of my Christmas shopping (super organised), but as most of you beauty lovers will agree, you just cannot buy beauty products for other people and not treat yourself to a little something. So I decided to get this little Lancôme beauty set which was £50 as I had spent £30 on Lancôme products.

As you can see the packaging is just as lovely as the products. If I am being honest last year I got the Christmas beauty set for my sister and I do think its contents were nicer but I am still really happy with what I got and it is great value for money.

Starting with the make up... This Hypnose Doll Eyes shadow palette is so beautiful,  It is the Fraicheur Rosee palette, and I have to say I am in love! The deep purple is gorgeous, I can't wait to do some looks for you ladies with this. The 2 mascaras look a little clumpy at first but I have worn them all week and they do not look clumpy at all, they give your lashes tones of volume.

This lipstick I was a little dubious about. I am not much of a red lip girl. However, this is a really subtle red in that it is really pink sort of red. Not sure if you know what I mean by this, but it has a jelly texture to it, not glossy just feels like Vaseline almost which is really nice.
The lip gloss I will wear much more often, you ladies know I love coral shades. The texture of this is really nice also, again it is not too glossy.
Now I am not really a big fan of eyeliner pencils, I am so used to using liquid liners. This week I decided to give it a try and I have really liked it. I used to use dark shadows as eyeliner with smoky eye looks but using the pencil means u can smudge it in and not worry about it budging during the day. It has great staying power.

The blush subtle palette is so perfect, it is the 02 nectar lace palette. If you are going to get just one of these products, this is the one. The highlighter is really subtle. The blush is bright so just a light dusting is enough. My favourite though is the matte brown, this is so good at contouring! I don't think I will be using any other product for my contour again.

I love La Vie Est Belle already it is such a sweet smell and super feminine, but seriously, how cute is this tiny little bottle!! I have had it in my pencil case all week, perfect for carrying around :)
The skin care products are all really high quality, I have tried a couple of them before but I think I will review these individually once I have used them all more so I can give you my true opinion. Because the picture is awful quality, to clarify in the set you get (from left to right) Softening Hydrating Toner 50ml, Gentle Softening Cleansing Fluid 50ml,Non Oily Instant Cleanser Sensitive Eyes 125ml, Youth Activating Concentrate 7ml and Soothing Anti-Stress Moisturising Cream SPF 15 15ml.

I am getting super exited for Christmas ladies and this really is a good buy for someone you love or for treating yourself if you have been good this year. Comment bellow if you have found a great buy recently for your self or someone special.

Make up look: MUA Undress me Too

Hello lovelies,
I had a bit of time free this morning so thought I would share today's make up look with you. All products I have reviewed will be highlighted, please click on them and it will take you to the review :)
Face: first I used my No7 Stay Perfect Blemish Cover in shade fair, I just applied a little to any areas that had a little redness. Next I used my Rimmel Match Perfection foundation in soft beige. I applied this using my realTechniques miracle complexion sponge to my eye area and the apples of my cheeks. Lastly I used the sponge again to apply my YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat foundation to the rest of my face.
The powder foundation I used was Estee Lauder's Double Wear in shade pure beige which I applied with my realTechniques powder brush. For my bronzer I used Soap and Glory's Solar Powder which I applied with my realTechniques duo-fiber contour brush.

Eyes: For this look I used MUAs Undress Me Too palette. I used shade Naked all over my eye, then shade Shy on my inner lid and Reveal on my middle and outer lid. I used Tranquil on my crease which I blended out, and Wink in the same place to add a bit of depth. The eyeliner I used was L'Oreal's Super Liner in Black Lacquer. The mascara I used was Elizabeth Arden's Beautiful Color mascara in black.

Lips: For my lips I just used my Rimmel Lasting Finish lipstick in coffee shimmer, which I dabbed with tissue so it was not too dark.

Hope you like this look lovelies, I love the MUA range they are such good quality products at such great prices! Comment bellow if you have done a recent make up look, or if you would like a review on any of the other products featured in this post.

Current Loves

Hello lovelies,

It's about time for another favourites post.. and I could not do this post without mentioning my favourite thing...Lipstick!

I have two I am loving at the moment. A/W is such a great time to experiment with those darker shades we are perhaps not daring enough to wear any other time of year, so here you can see my Rimmel Lasting Finish lipstick in Coffee Shimmer has started to make an appearance. This is such a luch colour and the lipstick is super pigmented and full of moisture perfect for this time of year.

The second lipstick I am loving is my No7 Moisture Drench in shade Mulberry. I just think this is a really lovely everyday shade for this season.

My absolute faveourite thing at the moment has to be the Valentina perfume from Valentino. This smells divine, you ladies have to go and try this scent it is so beautiful. Normally I would go for a musk at this time of year but this floral smell is just lovely.
As with the lipsticks, this time of year just makes bold make up look amazing. Big lashes are a must have for me and these Eylure Naturalites in style 101 are my go to lashes at the moment. These lashes are just perfect for every day as they are not too dramatic but still boast lots of thickness and volume.
One thing I don't really talk about a lot is body wash but I love the Radox shower gels. They have such a vast range of scents, most of which I like, but this one in particular is really feminine and lovely.
So while I am loving dramatic makeup, I also love a touch of subtlety, and this Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color brow shaper and eyeliner is perfect for softening u any eye look. Applying this instead of a harsh black eyeliner looks great and allows you to bled it perfectly in to a smoky eye.
My Olay Essentials eye make up remover really is essential at the moment. I am loving experimenting with different eye shadows right now and this is my go to remover. (For a review of this product click here)

What do you think of these products ladies? Comment bellow and let me know what you are loving right now, I love trying new products!

No7 Radiance Restorer

Hello ladies,

Those of you that read my recent haul will know I recently picked up this lovely No7 Radiance Restorer at Boots. So as promised in my haul, I have been using these products since I got them and here is my review of these.

The set costs £14 and as it is in the Christmas gifts range it is also on the 3for2 promotion.

30ml Cleansing lotion
If you read my first ever blog post you will see I already have a skin routine that is perfect for keeping blemishes away, so I have already found my go to cleanser. However, I love trying out new products, and while I don't think this will replace the one I use, it is a really nice product. There is not much I can say about this product, it does what it is supposed to and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth, I just prefer my Body Shop foam cleanser.

15ml Radiance Exfoliator
In honesty I have only used this product a handful of times. As my skin has been really dry recently I did not really want to use too much of the exfoliator. However, I love this product! it is really gentle on your skin and leaves it feeling really soft and refreshed. While I would not say this is an every day product, I would definitely use this once or twice a week. The exfoliating particles are a little rough but the creamy consistency leaves skin feeling nourished as well as exfoliated. I think this is the perfect product for any of you lovelies that have oily skin, it would really help to mattify your skin without drying it out.

15ml Overnight Revitalising Eye Balm
I have used this product nearly every night, I started out using it under my eyes to see if it would take away any puffiness, as it claims to do but honestly I did not see a difference. As the skin around my eyes has become very dry I stopped using this product there but continued to use it on my forehead and cheeks. The balm seamed to work really well here my cheeks do seam to have a more even skin tone and it seams to work like an over night tonner my skin just seams to look more youthful. While I will not be using this for my eyes, I have seen noticeable results from using the balm so will be buying this again.

25ml Energising Mask
I am not a big fan of masks and peels but I wanted to review all of the products for you so I have used this twice and I am really happy with the results. This does make your skin look noticeably smoother and more mattified, and it creates the perfect base for foundation. I am still not a fan of all the faffing, I don't overly like the look of peeling what look like a layer of skin away. But credit where it is due, it is easy to apply, is not too sticky, dry's quickly and is easy and quick to remove. The mask would work well on all skin types, so if you are a fan of masks but don't like the faffing that comes with them, this is a really good product for you. It only takes about 15mins to have beautiful skin.

25ml Day cream and 25ml Night Cream for normal/dry skin
So these are two products I used prior to buying the set. I suffer with very sensitive skin, particularly around my eyes, so cream is something that is really important to me. These creams have helped me so much. They are super soft and have never caused my skin irritation. Unlike most creams suitable for sensitive skin these have a lovely fragrance to them. I recommend these creams to anyone, they moisturise your skin perfectly without causing breakouts.
I hope this has been useful ladies. I highly recommend their skincare to you lovelies, the shop assistants are always really helpful in finding the best products for your skin type. And if like me you love trying a few bits and bobs; their Christmas gift selections are a really good way of discovering products perfect for you without spending too much.
Comment bellow if you would like any more pictures or product info, and hit follow if you are enjoying my blog, it's lovely hearing all your feedback.

Review: Vaseline Spray and Go

Hello Ladies,
Todays review is of Vaseline's Spray and Go Body Moisturiser. It costs £4.99 at Boots for the 190ml can, more expensive than the normal bottle but, like me, you can probably find this on a 3for2 promotion which Boots tend to do a lot on skincare.
Good: This is so simple to use! I'm not sure if you ladies are like me, sometimes I find my self in such a rush I just do not bother to moisturise, with this spray it literally take 1minuite to keep your skin moisturised and healthy. I only purchased the cocoa radiant one as from using the creams this is my preference, however, there is also a Aloe Fresh and a available to buy. The cream is really light, perfect for when you are in a rush, but still just as nourishing as the regular Vaseline creams.

I'm not sure if you can tell from the picture as my skin is so pale, but the spray can do a really fine mist of product on your skin if you hold the can around 30cm away. Or a drop of product if you hold it closer to your skin. Personally I always hold it at a distance, the light mist of cream is what makes it so much faster to apply as there is an even amount of product all over where you want to moisturise.

Bad: I have not found anything bad so far, I knew I loved these creams before I purchased this packaging. Perhaps the price is a little expensive compared to other good creams available, but it is so handy and good quality its a fair price in my opinion.
Overall I really like this product and definitely would recommend it for other busy or lazy ladies. The cocoa radiant one in particular smells amazing, if you have not tried it before please have a sniff in store, its lush! As always, follow and share if you are enjoying my blog :)

Review: Whipped Creme Foundation

Hello lovelies,
Before I begin todays blog I just want to apologise, I have not been blogging as much recently. I have just started my masters in legal practice, so as you can imagine the work load is fairly high. Please bare with me, I will blog at least once a week, and any additional posts I can fit in I will do so :)
Back to todays post which is a review of Max Factor's Whipped Crème foundation. This product costs £7.99 at Boots for a 18ml pot, which is reasonably priced I would say in accordance to quality.

I got this product because, like many girls, I went through a stage of using Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse Foundation when I was a teen, and fell in love with its coverage, but hated how dry it left my skin. When I saw this product I just had to try it out and see if was any better.
Good: The good news is the coverage is almost as good as the Dream Matte mousse. I would say it provides slightly less coverage, however, this is what makes it look a million times more natural, which is after all what we want from a foundation.

Due to it being a crème rather than a liquid it provides a really nice matte finish so if you are not a fan of applying powder foundation in addition to your liquid then this may be a good choice for you.

The only other good thing I can say about this is that it has pretty good staying power. It lasts all day even if like me you touch your face a lot.
Bad: This foundation has really dried out my skin! I would not say it has done so as bad as the Dream Matte Mousse did, however I strongly suggest you lovelies do not use this product every day.
I am still using this product as I do not like to waste money, however, I have only been applying it to my cheeks where my skin is a little oiler.
Overall I am not very happy with this product, it is not 100% coverage or matte, nor does it do any favours to your skin. If you are looking for a perfect foundation I erge you to try No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation (£12.95 at Boots). This provides a lovely matte finish and gives great coverage. I have used this product for over a year and it has never given me dry skin or blemishes, so definitely worth a purchase, moreover the Whipped Crème foundation.
Hope this has been useful lovelies. I don't like to be negative about products but I do think it is important to be honest. Don't forget to hit follow if you're enjoying my blog.

Makeup Look: Shimmering Days

Hello Lovelies,
So I have just put up a review of some eylure Pre-Glued lashes and already I have had a request for info on the make up I used, so here you go ladies...
Eyes: As you know I used the eylure 070 pre-glued lashes, I also used L'Oreal's Superliner to create a perfect slim line of liner. I also used Elizabeth Arden's Beautiful Color mascara. (click for a review of this product)
The palette I used was my Ted Baker Shimmering Days Glittering Nights palette. For this look I mostly used the day palette, I used the matte shade all over my eye then used the golden shimmer all over my lid. I went in to my crease and blended in to the outer half of my lid with the beautiful pink shimmer shade. To add depth I then added a little of the sparkly black from the night palette to my crease and blended.
Lips: First I applied my MUA lipstick in shade bare. I went over this with the cute little pink lip gloss that came in the day palette. I find gloss lasts longer when applied over a creamy lipstick.
Face: For foundation I used No7 Beautifully Matte in shade warm ivory as my base. I then added depth with MaxFactor's Whipped Crème in shade warm almond. I applied this to the apples of my cheeks as this is where I am naturally slightly more tanned.
For my contour I used the bronzer from the day palette and then went in with a light application of the blush.
So that's this look ladies, hope you like it. I am really happy with this palette, it is really good quality and I think I will be using it a lot. I think the two blushers in the night palette are far to bright for my complexion, but if you have a darker skin tone then these could look lovely.

Review: Pre-Glued Lashes

Hello ladies,

As you may know from reading my recent Boots haul, I decided to try out some pre-glued lashes. Lots of ladies have said to me that they struggle applying falsies, and while I don't find it difficult, I thought it may be worth trying out some pre-glued and seeing if they are any easier.

The lashes I chose were by eylure, style 070 and cost £5.29. I love their false lashes, I think they are a really good natural size and fit, and they have a really vast range to choose from.
Ok so I have to be honest with you ladies, I prefer non pre-glued. Having said that If you do struggle to apply lashes these will help you to get a feel for where you want to position them, how to get them close to lash line etc.
I just found these a little fiddly, the glue wants to instantly stick to your lid, where as with normal falsies there is more give with the glue before it sets to allow you to position it perfectly.
As you can see they still are not positioned perfectly, I ended up taking them off and using glue to make them look perfect.

I am a little disappointed with this product as I think it lures you in thinking they will be easier to apply when in fact they are harder.

The best advise I can give you lovelies is to play around with the lash prior to applying the adhesive. Work out where you want them, and then go in with the glue. Use a pair of tweezers to place them as close to your lash line as possible and then I use my realTechniques accent brush to pat the lash on securing it in the desired position. This prevents the glue from getting stuck to your fingers.

Always remember to let the glue get a little tacky on the lashes before placing them on to your lid, and never apply to much glue. Although glue dries colourless you can see bumps of adhesive sometimes which makes the makeup look a little messy.

My final tip is to cut the lashes to size if you feel they are a little long. Lashes are one size fits all, but some of us do have smaller eyes, cutting off any overhang will assist in getting the perfect fit. Always remember lashes are made with shorter lashes on the inner side to allow them to look more natural, so only cut the outer longer side of the lashes.

Hope this has been useful lovelies, for info on my eye make up in the pictures click here.

Boots Haul

Hello lovelies,

It's that expensive time of year when Boots stocks up on its xmas gifts and we all spend far too much money, me being no exception :D

The first few things I got were not in the Christmas range but I have wanted to try for a while. The Whipped Creme foundation by Maxfactor I got for £7.99, this looks like an improved version of Maybeline dream matte mouse so thought I would give it a go and review it for you ladies.

I also wanted to review the Eylure  pre-glued lashes, I have had so many ladies inform me that they struggle to apply lashes, so I want to see if these are in fact any easier.

I also really wanted this Valentina perfume, I got a sample of this in my recent Perfume Shop haul and fell in love. As my Lancôme Belle de Vie perfume ran out today I thought I would replace it with this.
The first gift I got was this little Nando's set, I got a few of their products last year for my boyfriend so thought I would get this for him to keep him going till December.
I also found this No7 Radiance Restorer set. It contains a 30ml Cleansing lotion, a 25ml Energising Mask, a 15ml Overnight Revitalising Eye Balm, a 15ml Radiance Exfoliator, a 25ml Day cream for normal/ dry skin and a 25ml Night cream for normal/ dry skin, all from the Beautiful Skin range. The day and night creams I already use, but I will review these products for you lovelies shortly once I have tested them out.
The last thing I found was this Shimmering Days/ Glittering Nights palette by Ted Baker. I don't think I will be using the night section that much, but the shimmering days palate if really lovely. You ladies know by now I love simple neutral make up shades :)

So that's all of my purchases from today. I love Boots this time of year, 3 for 2 is always nice, but just getting sets with sample size products is a great way of discovering great new products without spending too much finding them. Hit follow for reviews on these products coming soon.
